Antique Edison Standard cylinder phonograph, believed to be a Model B dating approximately 1905–1907.
Includes the original-style oak cabinet, domed wooden cover, crank, cylinder mandrel and mechanism shown in the photographs. The Edison Standard Phonograph decal is still visible on the front. The crank broke a piece off in transport but can be welded back together.
Included Wax Cylinder:
This phonograph includes an antique black wax cylinder record believed to be titled “The Waltz.” The cylinder is marked “PAT’D JULY 29, 1902,” indicating an early-1900s Edison-era cylinder design. Wax cylinders like this were used on machines such as the Edison Standard and typically held approximately two minutes of recorded music.
The cylinder has not been professionally identified, graded, or fully tested, so the exact recording, performer, and production date are not guaranteed. It is included as shown in the photographs and should be considered an antique collectible in its own right.
This phonograph shows substantial age-related wear including scratches, finish loss, discoloration, paint/spot marks and general wear from more than a century of use and storage. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
No external horn is included.
I have not serviced, restored or fully tested this phonograph and therefore it is being sold AS IS / UNTESTED. I cannot guarantee the motor, reproducer, stylus or other mechanical components are functioning properly.
Patent information and markings are visible on the machine as pictured.
An excellent restoration project, display piece, or parts machine for an antique phonograph collector.
