This antique obsolete Pennsylvania Deputy Sheriff shield badge measures 2 and 1/8 inches high by 2 inches wide and features noticeable structural waves, a distorted profile, surface tarnish, and a heavy, historically accurate lead solder repair reinforcing the lower reverse pin catch. Fabricated from custom-stamped copper with a deep iridescent natural patina, the front displays the arched title lettering and a crisp raised circular centerpiece depicting the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania coat of arms complete with its traditional eagle crest and dual draft horse supporters. The reverse side retains its original primitive thick metal pin mechanism and reveals two alignment puncture holes behind the central seal assembly.
