Antique Shapleigh’s Diamond Edge Bit Brace Hand Drill Wood Handle Vintage For Sale

Antique bit brace marked “Shapleigh’s” in script along the frame, with the original wood head knob and side handle. Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis sold tools under their Diamond Edge brand through the early to mid 1900s.Chuck jaws open and close and the ratchet mechanism turns, though it has not been tested under load or with a bit installed. Metal shows overall gray patina and light surface wear consistent with age. Wood head knob shows a visible crack, and the wood handle shows wear from use. Sold as-is based on visible condition in the photos.A good project or display piece for a tool collector.
