Antique Stanley Bedrock No604 Wood Plane *Flat Sole*USA Early Type For Sale

I have a good Stanley Bedrock 604 flat sole smoothing plane for sale, it is in good working condition. This plane has some wear and I will try to list all of the pro and cons. It is early and has a keyhole cap and has PAT\'D April 2-95 on the sole. The cap has a little wear but has good tension on the back plate. It has a small amount of metal loss on the top front. The tote holds well and is un-cracked., The front knob has some fine cracks but hold nice and firm. The iron is very nice and is early, it may have had a pat date that is worn off... Im not sure. It looks like very good steel and just needs a sharpen. The jappaning has some wear in spots and areas of small paint spots in the mouth that you maybe able to remove or improve. The adjuster is a small brass type and has a forward aft adjuster on the sole. It has a lateral adjuster that works, however it has pitting and the round part that sits into the iron is a little loose and could do with glue, peen or weld as it feels loose and may remove. The all over steel is good on this plane and could be polished up if you want it to shine. It has some very light pitting, I assume it had some light surface rust at some time. I think this could be greatly improved with sanding. This is not a perfect plane but it is a good plane. It\'s a good one to restore.Price is based on condition and wear, it is sold as is.Thank you for looking.
