Antique U.J. Ulery Co. No. 602 interchangeable tool pocketknife set, made in New York, USA. Includes the original cardboard box, leather carrying pouch, folding pocketknife, and six interchangeable tool attachments.
This unusual antique multipurpose pocketknife features a dark wood handle with metal bolsters and six interchangeable attachments, including a saw blade, file, flathead screwdriver/chisel-type tool, and several pointed and hooked utility tools.
The attachments insert into the opposite end of the knife handle and are held securely under spring tension. All six attachments have been checked and fit nicely into the handle.
The knife blade and interchangeable attachments feature the original Ulery trademark and signature markings, with several also marked "NEW YORK U.S.A." and "PAT. APPLIED FOR."
Condition:
The folding knife opens and closes nicely. The wooden handle and metal bolsters show normal wear consistent with age and use.
The knife blade and interchangeable attachments show varying degrees of age-related patina, surface corrosion, discoloration, and wear. Some surface corrosion is also visible along the top of the knife. No attempt has been made to clean, polish, or remove any corrosion.
The original brown leather carrying pouch remains flexible and supple, with both snap fasteners functioning properly. There appears to have been a small stitching repair along the bottom of the pouch, visible in the photographs.
The original U. J. Ulery Co. No. 602 cardboard box is included and shows age-related discoloration, edge wear, and general storage wear. The original manufacturer's label remains present and legible.
An interesting early American-made multipurpose pocketknife set, especially appealing to collectors of antique cutlery, interchangeable tool knives, and vintage American tools.
The set is being sold in its present vintage condition, exactly as pictured.
