The gears engage and turn as they should during our basic manual test. No attempt has been made to use the wringer for actual laundry.Condition: Displays very well for its age with expected antique wear throughout. The wood shows scratches, marks, finish wear, discoloration and other signs of age/use. Metal components show oxidation and aged patina. The roller surfaces exhibit substantial age-related crazing/checking and some cracking. Original lettering shows areas of wear but remains remarkably visible and gives the piece tremendous character.This piece has not been restored and retains the aged appearance shown in the photographs.
