Two original photographs glued on to each side of a single blackpiece of paper. Part of a collection of images from a family that worked the Amalie Ore Mine in Kern County, California in the early 1900\'s. I tried to briefly research some of the names in handwriting on the collection of imagesand found that Thomas P. Bawden (T.P. Bawden) was a mining pioneer in that area, his son Thomas Leslie Bawden (Leslie Bawden) also worked the mine. Will Wilcox married Bawden\'s daughter Della in 1905 and years later in 1916 Will was working at another mine and a rock from a blast hit him in the head and he passed away at the age of 38 or 39.
