This is an awesome cast member uniform patch from Matterhorn Disneyland. I don't have to tell you how rare these are. This is an actual cast member patch from the costume. It's actually comes with a certificate of authenticity from Disney.
Now obviously most people know that Disney does not ever write certificates of authenticity unless it's for a charity sale or some kind of a special sale. Thiis is an official Disney certificate of authenticity from a special sale.
These were used on cast member shirts and jackets in the 1960s and 70's. The condition is really great considering it's age.
This actually came from the Disney archives. A lot of times when they keep cast member pieces in their archives they're in perfect condition as this is. It is in perfect condition.
Obviously it's hard to get good pictures of employees wearing them in the 1960s and '70s since there were no digital photos but I managed to get one good photo of a cast member wearing the same patch plus some additional sale pictures of a similar patch.
