Guatemalan Folk Art Mask - Hand carved wood Conquistador with red face & beard For Sale

This vintage, wooden, South American folk art dance mask is hand carved and painted. Naturally aged and weathered.
Beautiful, cultural, ritualistic artifact depicting a man with red skin, curved nose, long black goatee/beard and black hair -- most likely a Spanish Conquistador which would associate this mask with the Baile de la Conquista (Dance of the Conquest), a traditional folkloric dance from Guatemala. Mask is 12" long, 6" wide and about 4" deep. One ear is broken off and there is a chip to the top left corner of the head.
