HISTORY ON THEIR SHOULDERS : $20.00
For over 100 years soldiers of the United States Army have proudly affixed unit patches to their shoulders and pockets. These cloth emblems not only represent their unit's heritage, but are visual reminders for each soldier to uphold those traditions. This book traces the distinct patches used by the men of the U.S. Army and their South Vietnamese allies from the beginning of the Vietnam war to its conclusion. From beautiful handmade embroidered color patches to late war, machine made subdued examples, all materials and styles of construction are covered, making this work ideal for the collector, military veteran, re-enactor of the past, or student of history!
