This is an authentic vintage Hermès "La Siesta" Porcelain Ashtray / Change Tray. Introduced by the luxury house Hermès as part of their celebrated La Siesta tableware collection, this pattern was originally designed by the jewelry and accessory designer Dominique Aurientis.
The piece is highly recognizable by its Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic, featuring a vibrant yellow background panel, a central pumpkin, morning glory blooms, and delicate butterflies—all framed by the classic Hermès orange trim. Crafted in France from fine Limoges porcelain, it features a goatskin suede base on the underside to prevent scratching surfaces.
It is in excellent vintage condition and has the original box. The bottom suede piece has light wear on the edges.
