This museum quality neck frill(or Parietal-Squamosal to impress your friends) fossil was found in 2012 in a Hell Creek Formation channel deposit on aranch in southeastern Montana near Powderville.

This fossil not only has theblood groove texture diagnostic of the neck frill but also has a portion of thesmother transition section closer to the skull. It is a single piece as foundwith no restoration. It measures 9” (22cm) from inner edge to outer edge and 9 ½” (24 cm) across at the outer edge. The thickness varies from ½” (1.2 cm) near thecenter to 1 ½” (3.7 cm) on the outer edge.Weight: about 4.5 pounds.
