Marine one / HMX-1 Welcome Aboard Brochure For Sale

Marine One (presidential helo) / HMX-1 Welcome Aboard brochureRare Carter-era presidential memorabilia, US Marine Corps militaria. Welcome Aboard brochure is late 1970’s original (not reproductions). These were gifts /mementos provided to VIP guests flying aboard the executive transport “white top” helicopters operated by the Executive Flight Detachment of HMX-1 (HMX-1 is the US Marine Corps helicopter squadron at Quantico, VA). The Executive Flight Detachment provides exclusive helicopter support to the president, vice president and foreign dignitaries. When the president is onboard any of the helos in the fleet, the call sign for the aircraft is Marine One. I am the original owner which was given to me in the “white side” detachment hanger at Quantico in 1979 by a fellow Marine who was assigned to the detachment. Both items were removed from one of VH-1N aircraft in the fleet. The white side hanger was a secure facility that housed the presidential fleet as opposed to the ”green side” hanger which supported strictly military operations related to Officer Candidate School and other military applications in northern VA. . The brochure has 12 pages of semi-glossy paper plus cardstock cover wrap, 4”x9” stapled on the spine. The brochure is in very good condition but is NOT “like new”.Brochure only (was previously part of a set). Buyer pays shipping. Items will be well packaged, insured and sent promptly via USPS ground advantage.
