Obsolete Cap Badge US POST OFFICE DEPARTMENT GUARD #855 Numbered-Old Display: $150.00
Probably 1930-50's, definitely obsolete, hat or cap badge #855 for a "United States Guard Post Office Department". 2.25" tall, this was mounted on a display board with other badges, so the back is super clean. The front shows some age toning. Hard to figure out what this is for exactly, but it's unusual for sure. Great look!
DC has shafted us with nutsy fuel costs, and the post office hits me with occasional 'rural address' surcharges. I can't predict if that will be you until I print the postage, so my postage rates have gone up to cover this eventuality.
