Original WWII-era Japanese wooden carrying case for a Type 97 Mirror Stereoscope (九七式鏡式實體鏡) manufactured by Nippon Kogaku Kogyo K.K., the company that later became Nikon.
Original metal identification plate is marked No. 592 and dated October 1942 (Showa 17). The interior retains the original Japanese equipment/inventory label listing optical accessories and components.
The original stereoscope and accessories are NOT included. This listing is for the empty wooden case as shown.
Case remains in original unrestored condition with significant age-related wear, scratches, holes, oxidation, stains and other signs of military-era use and storage. Original Japanese markings, identification plate and interior label remain present.
