PALE MOON / CHRISTOPHER MILLER CREATIONS MERMAID MIRROR

Wonderful decorative mirror featuring an elaboratedouble-mermaid ocean design, personally acquired by me many years ago fromChristopher Miller/Pale Moon at a Renaissance Faire.

Christopher Miller began exhibiting at Renaissance Faires in the 1970s and, according to his biography, began producing his distinctivecast mirror frames and ornaments in 1983, with mermaids among his fantasy and ocean-themed subjects.

This example featurestwo beautifully modeled mermaidssurrounding an arched mirror. Particularly striking is the reclining mermaid whose long hair actually drapes over the arch. The frame is filled with dimensional ocean details includingrolling waves, fish, shells, architectural columns and other aquatic imagery.

There isno built-in easel/stand or wall-mounting hardwarecurrently attached. I previously displayed the mirror using added adhesive-backed nail-type hangers on the reverse; these have been removed.

Condition:Pre-owned with light age/display wear. There are some small marks/spots to the mirror and normal surface wear to the frame and reverse. No major break or significant loss to the sculptural decoration that I can see. Please examine the photographs closely for condition.
