Elevate your home with this exquisite vintage Peltrina Pewter Calla Lily Tray (80-7033). Handcrafted in Argentina, this botanical serving dish features a stunning high-relief repoussé floral design a Modern heritage catchall.
The Story of the Maker
Peltrina is a celebrated Argentine brand that rose to prominence in the late 20th century, specifically the 1970s and 1980s. Known for their "Industria Argentina" hallmark, they specialized in sand-cast metalware that bridged the gap between functional serveware and fine art.
The brand was favored by a sophisticated mid-to-late century audience who sought out high-quality alternatives to traditional silverplate. These pieces were designed to be "worry-free" luxury—providing the heavy, substantial feel of antique pewter without the constant need for delicate polishing. This specific calla lily pattern captures the Art Nouveau Revival aesthetic that was highly popular during the late 70s, making it a timeless bridge between historic elegance and modern coastal or academia-style decor.
