Antique & Vintage Photographs EST. 1998 Pickfords Industrial Heavy Haulage Lorry Aberthaw Fisher Ship Dock 1989 Photo
This is a colour photograph that is unmounted and is 6 x 4 inches (150x100mm).
It shows a large industrial scene at a dockside where a heavy load is being transferred. A large, multi-axle Pickfords Industrial heavy haulage trailer is positioned on the concrete quayside, carrying a massive cylindrical object covered by a blue and grey tarpaulin. The trailer is connected to a dark blue Pickfords tractor unit on the right. To the left, a black ship with a yellow stripe, bearing the name \"ABERTHAW FISHER\", is moored alongside the quay. The heavy load appears to be in the process of being moved between the trailer and the ship, with large blue structural arms extending from the trailer towards the vessel. Several figures can be seen standing on the ship\'s deck, observing the operation. The quayside has large metal mooring bollards and some patches of grass growing through the concrete.
The reverse has repeating \"FUJICOLOR paper\" watermarks. A faint dot-matrix printed code is visible across the centre, which includes the numbers \"29- 3-89\".
