I picked these old heavy chaps up at a local antique market over 25 years ago . I used them in my true western motif home .
There is a F. Mueller logo on the leather belt portion , I believe it also says Denver below the Muller name.
F. Mueller is known for making outstanding leather chaps for the working cowboy.
I’m guessing from the information I gathered they are probably or possibly from early 20th, or late 19th -century.
The chaps are brown black and gray leather, (see 2nd photo ) the 2nd photo shows a small hole in the leather . This is the only hole .
There are 2 usable front pockets, see photos ,they have been drawn on in pencil. They look to have been frequently worn . They have writing in black marker on the front pockets and other various writing in pencil and I think stencils . Plus Large stenciled J. A. CAMP
I am not sure if this is a name of a person, company or ranch . I have not tried to clean them , they are stained with use and could use a good cleaning also They have a leather smell
Black metal hardware ,
They measure approximately 30” around the waist .
