Up for sale is a remarkably rare piece of early pre-war automotive history! This is an authentic 1920s period car hood ornament / radiator cap mascot manufactured specifically for the Star Motor Company line of automobiles (produced by Durant Motors between 1922 and 1928).
The mascot perfectly displays the classic, highly recognizable Star Four / Star Six five-pointed design featuring distinct ball tips on every point. It retains its original solid, integrated bottom threaded mounting stud designed to bolt securely directly through an early radiator twist cap or hood panel structure. An incredibly tough piece to find for anyone completing a period-correct Durant Star restoration or high-end automobilia collection.
