Rare Fort Bull Cannonball French and Indian War New York: $550.00
This is an authentic and rare 4-pounder cannonball legally dug in the 1930's at the site of Fort Bull in Rome, New York. It has a smooth seam and a casting flaw/hole typical of English cannonballs of this period. This fort was a supply depot during the French and Indian War, so this cannnonball was stored there for later use at Fort Oswego and scattered and lost during or after the Fort Bull Battle/Massacre but not "used" during the Fort Bull Massacre. No artillery was used during this battle. An incredible piece of New York history obtained from an estate collection. If this cannonball can be shipped cheaper than $25 I always refund the difference.
