Rare Original President Barack Obama Official Reelection Campaign Poster LGBT. The poster is an excellent original condition. It is approximately 9.5”x24”. Here’s your chance to own a piece of history.
The poster features an excerpt from a speech given by President Obama at the Human Rights Campaign's National Dinner. The graphic itself went viral and was officially deployed across the campaign's social media channels—including Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook—in May 2012. This coincided with his historic declaration of support for same-sex marriage.
The Quote: "Every single American — gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender — every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of our society. It's a pretty simple proposition."
At the very bottom banner of the poster, you can see the official campaign web address: BARACKOBAMA.COM
The top of the poster features the campaign's iconic "O" rising sun logo, and it utilizes Gotham, the official signature typeface of the Obama campaign.
The poster was created internally by the Barack Obama 2012 presidential campaign design team, which was part of the campaign's massive in-house technology and digital media department based at their headquarters in Chicago.
Unlike his 2008 campaign—which famously relied on street artist Shepard Fairey's independent "Hope" poster—the 2012 re-election graphics were entirely standardized, polished, and produced by internal campaign staff. The specific team was tasked with turning the president's statements into highly shareable, clean typographic posters utilizing the campaign's strict brand guidelines, color palettes, and signature Gotham typeface.
The poster was printed by commercial union print shops contracted directly by the national re-election campaign.
