This vintage late 1920s Sheaffer 3-25 Flat Top Fountain Pen has been fully restored to working condition and is ready to be a daily writer. It is made of high-gloss Black Radite and features a lever filling system and 14K gold 3-25 fine rigid nib.
This pen has been completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and fitted with a new, high-quality latex ink sac. The pressure bar operates perfectly and fills the pen completely.
The black body and cap have a deep gloss and show minimal evidence of age, and the factory imprint is crisp and legible. Slight micro-scratches and pits are visible in the cap, but there are no cracks, deep scratches, bite marks, or engravings. The cap threads smoothly and completely. The gold clip and cap band show minimal brassing, mostly around the top edge of the clip.
The nib is a 14K gold 3-25 fine rigid nib with plenty of tipping material. It was been adjusted and smoothed to ensure consistent ink flow and pleasurable writing experience. It writes a crisp, consistent, and smooth fine line with no flex, making it a perfect everyday writer or note-taker.
