Authentic Special Operations Task Force – East (SOTF-E) Coin — OEF XVI Deployment (Sep 2010-Apr 2011)
Overview:
This is a genuine, unit-issued coin from SOTF-East (Special Operations Task Force – East) for the 2010–2011 Afghanistan deployment (OEF XVI). The coin was issued to members of 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and their associated ODAs — a commemorative piece honoring that deployment.
Features:
• Front shows the map of Afghanistan with vivid colors and crossed rifles/ dagger insignia over national colors — labeled “Special Operations Task Force East – Afghanistan.”
• Back features large “XVI” marking the OEF 16 rotation; lists multiple ODA numbers (e.g. ODA-2310, 2313, 2332, etc.), marking unit participation; includes 10th SFG Airborne crest and special ops insignia.
• Heavy-duty metal construction with enamel inlays — quality minting, not a cheap souvenir.
• Diameter approx. 2″ (standard for challenge coins), solid weight in hand, edges and finish hold up well.
Condition:
Excellent. Clean detail, crisp lettering, minimal wear. Enamel colors bright, no major chips or dents (see photos).
Collector Value:
This coin is rare — SOTF-E challenge coins from OEF deployments are seldom offered publicly. Highly desirable among SOF, 10th SFG, SF veteran, and Afghanistan-era memorabilia collectors. Great display or historical piece.
Why Buy This Coin:

• Authentic unit-issued, deployment-era Special Ops challenge coin
