Up for sale is an original 1990 Spider-Man #1 Platinum Edition, featuring Todd McFarlane’s classic cover and the beginning of the Torment storyline.
This is the scarce Platinum Edition, produced in a reported print run of approximately 10,000 copies and distributed to comic retailers by Marvel.
The book features the distinctive platinum-colored Spider-Man logo, special cover treatment, and the retailer message from Marvel’s Terry Stewart printed on the inside back cover.
Condition:
This is a very attractive, ungraded copy with excellent overall eye appeal. The cover is firmly attached, the staples are secure, and all interior pages are present. The book is complete.
The colors are strong and the cover presents very nicely. There may be minor signs of age, handling, or storage, so please examine the photographs carefully.
This comic has not been professionally graded, and no particular numerical grade is guaranteed.
This listing is for the original Platinum Edition comic only. The retailer message is printed inside the comic; there is no separate letter or mailing envelope included.
A great opportunity to add one of the more collectible versions of Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man #1 to your collection.
