St Louis Crystal Tommy Pattern Wine Decanter with Matching Stopper 13 Inches
The Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis crafted exceptional crystal in the village of Saint-Louis-lès-Biart in northeastern France. They produced luxury tableware lines like Tommy starting in the early twentieth century for formal dining and grand entertaining. Artisans shaped each piece by hand before using heavy wheels to cut precise geometric patterns into the thick glass.
Hostesses and hosts used these elegant vessels to hold and aerate fine wines during elaborate dinner parties. The presence of the original, matching stopper ensures the piece retains its intended aesthetic and functional integrity. Such matched sets remain highly sought after by collectors of fine French crystal today.
