A distinctive stibnite crystal cluster with associated dolomite from Qinglong Mine, Guizhou, China.
Intergrown metallic blades form a broad, angular composition, with a prominent central blade rising above smaller crossing crystals. Open pockets between the blades reveal the intricate internal arrangement, giving the specimen depth and a striking sculptural outline.
Pronounced lengthwise striations catch silver-grey reflections across the darker steel-coloured faces. Pale dolomite provides contrasting accents among the overlapping crystals, highlighting the different directions of growth.
An appealing cabinet specimen for collectors of stibnite, metallic minerals and Chinese mineral associations.
