BERYL var. AQUAMARINE and MUSCOVITE:Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Dimensions: 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.7cm, miniature. This is a striking, very showy, robust, gemmy, light sky-blue Aquamarine crystal enhanced by a bright, silvery semicircle of Muscovite in the back which peaks around the sides! The Aqua has sharp faces and edges with a flat pinacoid termination and small, barely developed, triangular pyramidal faces for added interest. This crystal is an attractive, light sky-blue and mostly gemmy with minor, faint, wispy, veiled inclusions near the bottom and the upper portion is totally gem. The crystal is so transparent that the Muscovite imbedded in the Aquamarine on the backside can be seen through the crystal. The reflective, silvery-white Muscovite cluster on the back adds great aesthetics with crystals that vary between a few millimeters to 1cm in size with tattered edges. It's a nicely composed Pakistani pegmatite combo piece that is mounted on an acrylic base to enhance the presentation. A very fine miniature with dramatic display qualities for the discriminating collector! Much better than the pictures indicate! Please ask any questions.
