USAF AFRL Collaborative Combat Aircraft Patch Area 51 RQ-180 CCA FQ-42A Drone: $200.00
This official patch of the elite Air ForceResearch Laboratory (AFRL) and the Experimental Operations Unit assigned to the 53d Wing. Originally formed as a detachment in 2023, the EOU has been elevated to a fully operational squadron equivalent dedicated to the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) Increment 1 and advanced MMA programs. Known to conduct test flights out of Nellis AFB, the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), and Area-51, the EOU is the Air Force’s premier proving ground for human-machine teaming. They integrate cutting-edge autonomy with 5th and 6th generation crewed fighters. This unit is directly responsible for the live-fly experiments and virtual simulations for the uncrewed force multipliers currently reshaping tactical aviation, including the highly classified RQ-180 stealth drone, as well as the newly designated YFQ-42A and YFQ-44A CCA prototypes.
