This is a complete five-piece numbered set, with the original assembly instruction labels still attached underneath. Each cardboard piece folds open to create a freestanding tabletop, mantel or window display.
The set consists of:
#1 – Santa Claus in his sleigh
#2–#5 – Four coordinating reindeer display sections
Together, the reindeer pieces spell out the traditional closing Christmas greeting:
“Happy Christmas To All And To All A Good Night.”
The original printed instructions show how the sides and front/back panels fold into place and explain how yarn was threaded through the reindeers’ mouths to form connecting reins.
The artwork features Santa in a bright red sleigh filled with toys, along with beautifully illustrated leaping reindeer in red, green and gold harnesses against snowy blue backgrounds.
A wonderful surviving example of mid-century paper Christmas décor and especially desirable because all five numbered components remain together as a complete set.
Vintage condition with expected age-related wear to the cardboard including edge wear, minor creasing and surface wear.The cardboard is very delicate especially in the area of the connections. Please enlarge all photographs, as they are an important part of the description.
