Vintage Authentic Atlanta Biltmore Hotel Room Key & Matching Leather Fob – Room 232
Highly collectible, matching vintage room key and original leather fob set from the historic Atlanta Biltmore Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. Opened in 1924, the Biltmore was known as the "Greatest Hotel of the South" and remains an iconic piece of Georgia hospitality history.
Item Features & Details:
• Matching Room Number: Both the vintage leather fob and the metal skeleton key are strictly stamped with matching room number 232.
• Embossed Leather Fob: Features the classic "AB" monogram emblem nested inside a decorative wreath at the top.
• Postal Guarantee Stamp: The lower portion of the teardrop fob features the highly sought-after circular vintage postal warning: "If Carried Away Return - We Guarantee Postage - Unsealed". This allowed forgetful guests to drop the key into any US mailbox to return it safely back to the hotel.
• Authentic Skeleton Key: The heavy-bit metal skeleton key shows incredible natural patina and character, firmly attached by its original sturdy brass connection ring.
Condition Report:
This set is in beautiful, authentic vintage condition with crisp, legible embossing on the leather tag. The metal key and connection ring show a natural aged patina, minor surface wear, and a small spot of historical oxidation, adding to its unique historical charm.
