Description: Vintage Alfred Dunhill Rollalite Pocket Lighter with a Solid 14K Gold Outer Jacket. Measures approximately 2.5" tall. 14K gold has been tested. Circa 1930s / 1940s. As shown, lighter weighs about 84.70 grams. The jacket is beautifully decorated with an engine-turned sunburst ray pattern. The base of the lighter displays the classic script "dunhill" logo, "US PAT. 2102108", and is stamped "OUTER JACKET 14k GOLD L&K".
Rare Variant Details: Unlike standard later butane versions, this is an early petrol/fluid variant featuring a fabric wick chimney system. The back of the internal snuffer arm block is distinctly stamped "C.U.S.A. PAT. 1657352", identifying it as a highly sought-after early-production chassis.
Condition: Lighter is being sold strictly as-is, untested, and in non-working condition for parts, repair, or professional restoration. Please note there is overall surface wear. As shown in the close-ups of the top inside view, there is wear and signs of use. The side roller striking wheel spins freely but the lighter does not currently spark. The top lid is visibly tilted and does not sit completely flush or straight when closed. The 14K gold jacket displays honest surface wear consistent with age.
