This is a very rare example of the earliest Vera scarves (year estimated) made from parachute silk when WWII used all the available silk previously used by the garment industry. Vera bought up used parachutes to be able to continue her new design business and you can tell this scarf - 16x16 - is from one of the earliest designs in that her VERA logo had not yet incorporated the ladybug she later had included into her distinctive logo.This is a perfect example of a collector’s dream - whether you love bunnies, race cars, antique cars (Simplex, Bugatti, Vauxhall, Alpha Romeo, etc), or just an example of the early work of a pioneering woman designer,this EXTREMELY RARE scarf is perfect for framing. Hand rolled hem, the silk is in near perfect condition. Any discolorations in the photos are due to where it was folded.
