This is a Victorian era valuables wooden box used for documents, jewelry and other items of importance. Most likely used when someone was traveling, it does have a lock labeled “To passengers consideration of carriage or baggage it’s value is limited to $100” There is also some hand stenciling around the lock and some hand written numbers on the interior. It does have a crack across the top and some scratches and distressed wood. Refer to photos for condition. Overall dimensions are 11 1/2in x 8 1/4in x 3 1/2 in.
