Offered is an impressive vintage Boyce MotoMeter "Universal Model" radiator temperature gauge mounted on a classic dog-bone-style flip-top radiator cap, dating to approximately the 1920s.
This attractive early automotive accessory combines the famous Boyce MotoMeter temperature indicator with a substantial, double-handled radiator cap featuring rounded ball ends and a hinged flip-top mechanism.

CONDITION — IMPORTANT:
This piece is offered in unrestored vintage condition.
The MotoMeter retains its attractive original-style appearance, with legible lettering and visible temperature scale.
The metal housing and dog-bone handles exhibit significant age-related deterioration, including extensive cracking, crazing, oxidation, pitting, and finish wear.
Cracks are particularly visible throughout the radiator cap body, around the hinge areas, along the handles, and at the rounded handle ends.
There is visible deterioration and possible damage around the flip-top hinge and locking components.
The instrument glass shows age-related wear and discoloration.
The internal temperature-indicating mechanism has not been tested, and its accuracy or functionality is not guaranteed.
Because of the extensive cracking, this piece should be considered a collectible or restoration/display item rather than a ready-to-install functional radiator cap.
