Offered is an authentic Gillette “New Standard” safety razor set, manufactured circa 1929–1930 in the USA.This model succeeded Gillette’s “New Improved” series and preceded the Aristocrat line, sharing the same open‑comb design and diamond‑pattern handle but finished in nickel rather than gold.
The set includes its original purple‑lined case marked “Gillette – New Standard”, along with the matching nickel blade bank with original razor blades. The case hinge has rusted through, leaving the lid detached, yet the interior retains its original velvet lining and logo. Razor plating shows honest age and use consistent with nearly a century of history.
