In 1968, the U.S. Army\'s 1st Logistical Command (often called the \"1st Log\") served as the central logistical lifeline for all American and Free World Military Assistance Forces operating during the Vietnam War.

The unit played a monumental role during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Despite many of its own rear-echelon depots and forward bases coming under heavy fire, personnel successfully maintained an uninterrupted flow of ammunition, rations, and medical evacuations to front-line units
