Vintage 1978 Austin Nichols Wild Turkey Limited Edition No. 8 “Strutting Turkey” Ceramic Decanter
Wonderful vintage Austin Nichols Wild Turkey collectible dating to 1978. This is the Limited Edition No. 8 “Strutting Turkey”, the final design in Austin Nichols\' original series of eight Wild Turkey ceramic decanters.
This large figural decanter features a beautifully detailed strutting tom turkey with its tail fully fanned. The turkey is finished in rich brown, red, cream and green tones with WILD TURKEY in raised lettering across the front of the base.
The original front label remains attached and identifies the contents as:

The decanter also retains its original removable turkey-head stopper with cork. Remnants of the original paper tax/seal strip remain attached around the neck/body area, as shown in the photos.

Approximately 10 inches tall and approximately 9–10 inches across the widest portion of the fanned tail. Please refer to the measurement photos for the most accurate dimensions.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition with normal age-related wear. There is wear/deterioration to the remaining original paper seal, along with age-related surface wear and marks. The original label shows age-related wear as well. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition, as the photos are considered part of the description.
The decanter is EMPTY and contains no alcohol. It has been rinsed; however, because it originally contained whiskey, some residual whiskey/alcohol odor may remain inside.
The original stopper is removable and is shown removed in the photographs so the original cork and bottle opening can be seen.
