This is a stunning, authentic vintage 1981 limited edition fine porcelain vase titled The Meadowland Butterfly Vase. Designed by the celebrated wildlife artist John Wilkinson for Franklin Porcelain, this elegant baluster-shaped vase was beautifully crafted in Japan. The piece features an incredibly detailed, wraparound illustration of various vibrant American butterfly species flitting amongst purple and pink wildflowers, including wild geraniums and common blue violets. The brilliant white glazed porcelain is accented by a gleaming, intact 24-karat gold trim along both the top rim and the base.
