Authentic Japanese Ando Cloisonné framed floral plaque featuring red and white ume (Japanese plum) blossoms.
The back retains the original red-and-gold ANDO CLOISONNE maker label identifying the piece as a product of Ando Cloisonné Co., Ltd. of Nagoya, Japan.
Ando refers to this traditional technique as Yusen, or wired cloisonné. Fine metal wires divide the floral design into individual cells, which are filled with colored vitreous enamel and fired to produce the brilliant glass-like surface.
The circular plaque features red and white plum blossoms with brown branches, blue accents, yellow flower centers, and a luminous gold-toned background.
Ando’s catalog includes a Yusen Wired Cloisonne Framed Picture featuring ume blossoms under product No. 700001, closely corresponding to this piece and design type.
The cloisonné plaque measures approximately 3.25 inches in diameter. The complete framed piece measures approximately 8.25 inches high.
The black frame includes a black mat with silver-tone inner border, protective front glazing, easel-style back stand, hanging cord, and original Ando Cloisonne label.

Excellent vintage condition.
The enamel appears bright, glossy, and exceptionally well preserved. No visible chips, cracks, or significant enamel loss observed. Frame and display hardware are also in very good condition with only minimal normal storage/handling wear.
