Vintage/ Antique Mid 1800\'s Native American Dag knife: $950.00
This is an American Plains Indian \"Beaver Tail\" Dag Knife, a historic 19th-century style weapon heavily favored by northern frontier warriors. The Blade: Features a broad, double-edged 12-inch carbon steel blade. The distinct, un-serrated shape tapers into a point modeled after stone spearheads or a beaver\'s tail. It shows a prominent median ridge and a heavy, oxidized historic patina. A characteristic indigenous-designed \"paddle handle\" made of dark hardwood scales. It is ornately adorned on both sides with high-dome brass trade tacks. These tacks are arranged in a decorative, contoured geometric pattern following the curves of the grip.
