Vintage Camillus Cutlery Brochure Probable Dating 1988?? for Knife Collectors: $11.99
I used to collect knives many years ago until I sold my huge collection. I collected Barlow style knives and Camillus was a brand that not only made good quality knives, but lots of Barlows too, so I followed Camillus. The original Camillus Cutlery Company was a historic American knife manufacturer dating back to 1876 and shut down on Feb 28, 2007. The closure was caused by fierce competition from cheap foreign imports and labor disputes, leading the company to file for bankruptcy. Someone else bought the brand name in 2009 and they are probably selling knives today, but not the same as the original company behind this brochure. This mostly color brochure is on fine glossy paper and is about 5 by 7 inches unfolded and about 14 by 15 inches when completely unfolded. I think this brochure was probably printed 1288 based on some numbers on the back side which might mean December 1988, but not sure on this point?? You collectors will know based on the knives shown. I am now almost age 89 and need to get rid of things that I collected over the years. I thought I had one of the very few of these still in existence, but found a big box of collector stuff yesterday and I had another one of these and did not even know it. So now one of you other collectors will have a chance too, as I sold the first one yesterday. Now that is timing and it is the truth. Scouts honor, and I was not even a boy scout because I lived on a farm. Please stop back again as I keep adding items every few days. Thank You for looking.
