Vintage mid-century ceramic novelty piece known as a "naughty nodder" pin-up girl ashtray produced in Japan during the 1950s.

Features a reclining blonde woman wearing a blue and white swimsuit/bra, lounging on a daybed with her legs raised in the air.

Mechanism: The vertically-poised legs are weighted or hinged so they wobble or "nod" when the ashtray is moved. Hand-painted floral decals decorate the side of the white ceramic base, accented with pink trim and gold high heels.
