Here’s a fun piece of early Simpsons memorabilia from back when the show was celebrating its first 100 episodes!
This is an original vintage Duff Beer glass mug commemorating The Simpsons’ 100th episode in 1994.
The front features Barney Gumble enjoying a Duff, along with the classic Duff Beer logo and “Property of Moe’s Tavern” lettering. The reverse has “The Simpsons 100th Episode” and the FOX logo.
For a little history, the show’s 100th episode was “Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song,” which originally aired on April 28, 1994. That’s the episode where Bart gets Principal Skinner fired after bringing Santa’s Little Helper to school.
I especially like that this isn’t just another Duff Beer mug. It’s a piece of Simpsons anniversary memorabilia from the show’s early years, complete with the FOX branding on the back.
The mug looks to be in nice vintage condition, with the graphics still displaying well. I haven’t noticed any obvious chips or cracks, but please look closely at the photographs for the overall condition. The paper towels inside were just there for the pictures to help show the lettering and graphics.
A pretty cool piece for anyone collecting early Simpsons merchandise, television promotional items, or anything from Moe’s Tavern. And let’s face it, Barney would probably approve.
Thanks for taking a look and feel free to check out my other listings for additional comics and collectibles.
