OverviewA vintage silver plated creamer and open sugar bowl set. Both pieces have straight, slightly tapered bodies that flare out to a wide base, with a plain, smooth surface. The sugar bowl has two cast scroll handles with curled tops, and the creamer has one matching handle and a pointed pouring lip. The plating has a warm golden tarnish with darker and iridescent areas. The simple shape suits a coffee bar, breakfast tray or tea table, and the pair also works for small flowers, pens or makeup brushes.
BackgroundMatching creamer and sugar sets like this were a standard part of American silver plated tableware in the mid-1900s. Both bases are stamped \"E.P.C.\" with the name \"Lynn\" in script. E.P.C. usually stands for electroplated copper. The bodies are spun, with fine turning rings on the bases, and the handles are cast. The two pieces weigh 1 lb 0.5 oz together.
ConditionGood vintage condition with no dents, breaks or repairs. There is overall tarnish, light scratches and wear to the plating, with spotting inside the bowls and scratches on the bases. Please see all photos.
