Vintage Horolovar “Ignatz” Flying Pendulum Clock, famously marketed as “The Craziest Clock in the World.”
This unusual novelty clock is a reproduction of the historic 1883 flying-pendulum clock design. Horolovar introduced its reproduction in the United States around 1960, making this a fantastic piece of mid-century horological and mechanical novelty history.
This example is especially appealing for its surviving original presentation materials and accessories, including:
* Horolovar Ignatz flying pendulum clock
* Flying pendulum superstructure/components shown
* Horolovar warranty label numbered 22319
Dial features Roman numerals, Horolovar branding and the historic “PAT’D OCT 9TH 1883” reference to the original flying-pendulum design.
