Vintage Italian Florentine Gilt Wood Trinket Box Cherubs Putti Made in Italy For Sale

Vintage Florentine-style gilt wood trinket box from Italy. The hinged lid has an oval print of dancing cherubs/putti inside a raised gesso scroll frame, with gilt scrollwork on all sides. The base is stamped "MADE IN ITALY" with a "1".

Measures approx. 3.75" L x 2.75" W x 1.75" H.

Condition: Heavy vintage wear. There is gilt and paint loss throughout, chips to the lid corners and edges, and rubbing to the gesso. The interior is unlined, with spotting and discoloration. The wire hinges are intact and the lid opens and closes. Sold as is; please see photos.
