Vintage Japanese Kokeshi doll style Jubako stacking boxes. These decorative containers are inspired by traditional Japanese folk art and feature hand-painted facial details and colorful patterns.
This listing includes a matching set oftwo wooden containers with fitted lids. Often referred to as Jubako or bento-style boxes, they were traditionally used for decorative storage and display rather than modern food use. Today, they are collected as Japanese folk art pieces and make beautiful display items.
Important note:One of the containers is missing its original decorative tassel. The other container still has its tassel intact. This does not affect the structure or display of the boxes but should be considered when purchasing. Please see photos for close-up details.
