Vintage KA-BAR USA fixed blade hunting knife with an unusual two-piece genuine stag handle construction, with the two stag sections meeting along the spine and underside of the handle. This is a legitimate construction style seen on some older KA-BAR hunting knives and is an interesting feature worth noting for collectors.
Classic smaller bird-and-trout / fin-and-feather size with clip-point blade, brass guard, stacked colored spacers and aluminum pommel. Blade is clearly stamped “KA-BAR U.S.A.”
Knife is in good vintage used condition with age-related scratches, wear and evidence of previous sharpening. The natural stag shows attractive color, texture and fine age checking. The visible center seam is part of the two-piece stag handle construction rather than a single handle slab being split completely through.
Includes the vintage tooled leather sheath shown. Sheath has considerable age and wear but displays nicely with the knife.
