Vintage LYHNE Table Lamp 17” Mid Century Modern Accent Lamp Original Shade 1921. Wonderful antique Lyhne Lamp Company adjustable task lamp, dating to approximately the early 1900s–1910s.The Lyhne Lamp Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut produced specialized adjustable lamps that were particularly well suited for jewelers, watchmakers, craftsmen and other precision work. Early Lyhne lamps are increasingly difficult to find, especially complete examples retaining their original identifying mark.This lamp is clearly marked LYHNE LAMP on the underside.It has a wonderful early industrial / Arts & Crafts appearance, with a substantial round base, adjustable upright and generously sized metal shade. The design allows the light to be directed toward a work surface, exactly the type of practical lighting needed by jewelers and watchmakers.MEASUREMENTSApproximately 17” tall Shade: approximately 6½” across Base: approximately 6½” acrossCONDITIONAntique condition with age-related wear, patina, discoloration and surface marks consistent with a lamp more than a century old.
